Article and Exhibition – Preserving Collective History (in small-scale ecological and environmental archives and local communities): Posing the beginning of a solution for further debate

This article was written to try and understand how community, ecology, and archives interact. It was part of ‘Through the Cracks’ at RAG Gallery in Chorlton 01 April 2023 – 12 May 2023.

The work questions how communities can build archives and maintain them as useful resources for the future and asks, ‘How does the collective collectively maintain the archive when there is no one left to maintain the archive?’

It is exhibited as a call to arms, pasted onto the wall as a political and creative statement.
